M/S LINDA

M/S Linda was built in 1973 in Gothenburg. The vessel is specially built as a tour fishing boat.   The result of a collaboration between sea fishing enthusiasts, experienced sailors and seasoned shipbuilders who together had the goal of producing the perfect tufa fishing boat.

M/S Linda previously went by the name Otseco III and operated fishing out in the Kattegat with Lerkil as port of departure. In April 2011, Hartford Rederi bought the vessel and did a complete renovation. The new home port became Landskrona.

M/s Linda is very popular to ride with. The vessel has fine seaworthiness and cuts through the waves with a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. This makes the vessel Sweden’s fastest tour fishing boat for more than 12 passengers. Along the railing there are 47 fishing spots and down in the fresh and cozy salon there is room for 48 seated diners.  Here we sell sausages with bread, drinks, coffee, sweets and fishing equipment. During the winter months, the lounge and toilet are heated.

SECURITY
Passenger safety is our first priority. M/S Linda is inspected annually by the Swedish Transport Agency and both ship and crew are tested. M/S Linda has an approved safety organization according to the ISM code. The crew is well trained and has all the required safety certificates.  M/S Linda has all the necessary insurances for passengers and ships. On board there are life jackets for all passengers, 4 life rafts for 25 people, fixed fire extinguishing system in the engine, fire alarm throughout the boat, fire water pump and fire extinguisher. We also have an emergency radio system called GMDSS, SART (Search And Rescue Transponder). There are also dressing materials and medicines on board according to the Swedish Transport Agency’s requirements.

M/S Linda is equipped with 5 waterproof sections. This means that the ship stays afloat in the event of, for example, a collision where water ingress occurs.
We are also the first Swedish tour fishing boat in the strait to have an AIS system installed. This is a transponder that makes it easier for us to see other larger ships in fog and so they can see us. A fantastic instrument that significantly increases navigation safety.
With all the safety equipment on board and experienced crew, you can feel safe with us.

INSTRUMENTS
On board M/S Linda, we have put a lot of heart into the instruments. We have, in collaboration with market leader GARMIN, installed 4 combi screens with HD radar, sonar, side scanner, electronic chart software and AIS. 3 Vhf radios, alarm/surveillance cameras, 2 remote-controlled searchlights and GPS navigator.
